KATHARINE McPHEE is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She gained fame as a contestant on the fifth season of the Fox reality show American Idol in 2006, eventually finishing as the runner-up.
McPhee has also established an acting career. She was in the TV series Smash, which finished after a two-season run. Now, Katherine is ready to try features. She has become attached to star in Depravity, a thriller with a script by Dennis Lehane and Paul Tamasy set to direct.
